François Peltier, artist-painter, received the order for an outstanding pictorial work : a monumental painting, featuring the book of the Apocalypse by Saint-Jean, intended to stand on the walls of the cloister of the Saint-Emilion collegiate church (in France). In this film, Jean-Yves Fischbach reveals the process of the gigantic artistic challenge taken up by François Peltier. "The Apocalypse” is a 40-meter-long and 5-meter-high fresco which is the result of a large work of meditation. François Peltier has taken a very long time to think about this book in order to understand, interpret and represent all of the prophetic’s and enigmatic’s symbols. The Apocalypse is the last book of the Bible and the story of the victory of good over evil. Following the process of creation of François Peltier in his studio accompanied by his wife Sylvie Peltier, through the analyzes of Philippe Plet, theologian, this film gives a very contemporary perspective on the spiritual struggle that our world is going through.
